Yesterday we held a robot assembly workshop with the robotics team CORE "From Junior Robotics to Teenage Engineering!"

The presenters and the protagonist, the author's robot "Andrey," were at the laboratory of the Noosphere Engineering School at ChDTU, while the participants joined the workshop online.

The geography of event attendees was quite impressive – among the registered participants were young engineering enthusiasts from Kyiv and the surrounding region, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Ternopil, Dnipro, Smila, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, as well as from the town of Malyn in the Zhytomyr region.

The CORE team members shared insights on where to start when creating your own robot, which programming language beginners and more experienced engineers should choose, and similar topics.
By the way, meet "Andrey" the robot:

The presenters shared insights on participating in all-Ukrainian and international competitions, such as BestRoboFest and FIRST Tech Challenge. They explained how to design, assemble, and program an "adult robot" capable of executing programmed tasks.

The team found it interesting to have the opportunity to answer the audience's questions – the workshop participants were curious about various aspects of robotics:

- What resources should be used to study programming languages?
- How much time did it take to build the robot?
- Which programming language would you recommend starting with for learning programming?

As they formulated their answers to these questions, the team members also discovered new knowledge for themselves.

It should be noted that "From junior robotics to teenage engineering!" is a unique workshop for young and talented Ukrainians from a robotic team preparing for international competitions within the FIRST Tech Challenge. The organizers, Noosphere Engineering School and the CORE team, aim to inspire teenagers to tackle new and exciting technical challenges and see them through to successful completion. It's not easy, but the results are worth it!

The event took place within the framework of the EU Code Week and the Meet and Code initiative. The Meet and Code initiative is funded by SAP ® corporation. In Ukraine, Meet and Code is implemented by GURT Resource Center, in partnership with TechSoup, implementing the Technology Support Program for NGOs in Ukraine.
