The president of Ukraine visited Noosphere Engineering School

On October 1, 2020, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited the Laboratory of Noosphere Engineering School. 

HOW DO ENGINEERS WELCOME PRESIDENTS 

The honored guest was accompanied by the Rector of the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering Viktor Moshynskyi, who told about the activities of the Laboratory as well as about the goals and objectives assigned to the whole network of the innovative laboratories of Noosphere Engineering School – to establish in Ukraine a standing platform for collaboration between education, science and business as well as for join work on the advanced projects in various fields. 

We have talked a lot with the President about the innovative projects of Ukrainian students and the importance of keeping abreast of the global educational standards. During the tour of the Laboratory, we presented an example of Doctor of Economics, the entrepreneur and philanthropist Max Polyakov, who initiated the establishment of science and technology laboratories of Noosphere Engineering School.

The challenges and prospects of the space sector in the world and in Ukraine were mentioned at the meeting; in particular the possibility of building a platform to launch rockets on the territory of Ukraine was discussed. The President agreed that there was a need for building the domestic launching site. 

At the end of the meeting, students of the Laboratory presented a memorable gift to Volodymyr Zelenskyi – 3D portrait of the President that was created using the printer hand-made by the student Thea Camille-Maxime (see the photo below).

The meeting was a part of “Condition and Problems of Water Resources” Forum that was held at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering during the President’s visit to Rivne. The Forum was organized by Rivne Regional State Administration and the university. 

At the Forum, Viktor Moshynskyi shared the plans to digitize R&D products in the core field of expertise of NUWM – the problems of water resources of Ukraine. For sure, our Science and Technology Laboratory, successfully operating based on this leading higher institution, will be involved in implementing these plans.
