On May 17, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko paid a working visit to Dnipro and attended the opening of the R&D center of the American company Firefly Aerospace.

Max Polyakov, founder of Firefly Aerospace and co-founder of the Association Noosphere, accompanied the President at the tour of the company, presented an experimental production, a 3D printer that produces elements of rocket engines, and an electric motor.

The head office of Firefly Aerospace is located in Austin (Texas), while the Ukrainian center carries out experimental developments in the field of technical and natural sciences, being the only unit outside the United States.

The company's global mission is to design lightweight launch vehicles that can deliver satellites and reduce the cost of human space exploration.

Recently, Firefly announced the launch of its first carrier rocket in 2019. Now engineers have already designed two vehicles − Alpha and Beta.

Petro Poroshenko noted the uniqueness of the developments which Firefly produces, and the high technological level of the Ukrainian R&D center of the company.

Despite strict time-limit, the President took an interest in Noosphere Engineering School projects and paid attention to strategically important developments for the country during the tour.

Petro Poroshenko familiarized himself with the ArtOS project, which is an artillery fire control complex. The software and hardware of the system were developed at the School and used by the military of our country since 2015.

Importantly, ArtOS was created with the purpose of technological improvement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was intended to optimize the use of available firearms of barrel, self-propelled, reactive artillery, as well as missile and mortar batteries.

Recall that previously the President of Ukraine highly rated the ArtOS developments, which is currently are employed by 70% of control bodies of missile forces and artillery.

The president also discovered the mobile application My Police - My Pol, which was developed at the Noosphere Engineering School to ensure the prompt communication of conscious citizens with the police.

The mobile app allows the public:

  • call the police with a single tap via 24/7 SOS button
  • participate in police work, assess the work of police officers and assist in investigations
  • find the nearest police stations and medical aid;
  • get the latest news and urgent notifications from the police.

Dmitry Povorchansky, CEO of My Police, and Sergey Moisieiev, Project Manager at ArtOS, presented the developments of the School to Petro Poroshenko.

For the Noosphere Engineering School team, it is a great honor to show the President our innovative projects.

Thank you for this opportunity and we promise to move forward with increased motivation!
