«Great things in business are never done by one person, they're done by a team of people».
We only have 2 weeks left before the 6 teams in the “Project Management” program will present their projects. Their ideas have solidified, the details of their business models have all been worked out and they are into the home stretch! But before the students present their ideas to the panel of judges we want to give you a sneak peek at two of the teams “Elephant” and “Atori”. They have be kind enough to share a little about what it is like to work in their teams, what they have learned and some of their plans for the future.
“Atori” team
Participants: Andrey Gorb, Artiom Kompaniyets, Yuliya Markoza, Yana Bondarenko and Dar’ya Nekhay
“We are friendly and responsible team. We all try to help each other out. We have a very interesting project and are eager to develop it.
Now the most important thing is to perform a feasibility study and make the presentation. The business model is ready. We have completed the competitor analysis, identified the risks and calculated the costs associated with the risks that we need to budget for, and our financial analysis is almost complete.
We hope our competition will enjoy watching our our victory speech!”
«Elephant» team
Participants: Yevgeniy Buzovskiy, Nataliya Dononovskaya, Artiom Rodin and Vladislav Khaitov
“Team work has teaches us a lot of new things and provides skills to cooperate closely with other people. Our team was formed a long time ago and we are on the same wavelength. We are students of Oles Honchar Dnipropetrovs’k National University, Faculty of Applied Mathematics, 2nd year.
Throughout the project we have learned a great deal more about working with projects: how they are created, how the ideas are generated, how people are attracted to the team and how to allocate responsibilities, and many other legal and technical aspects of the project creation process.
Plan and preparing for our own project hasn't been without its own difficulties.
One of such difficulty is monetization. Very user wants to have a fully functioning product for free. However, the profit is also important.
Another problem is to come up with a unique idea. Nowadays, original ideas are very rare, it is difficult to come up with something new, something that don’t already exist or something that differs a lot from existing products.
It was very useful to get feedback from our mentors. We made the project public and it seemed like it would be interesting. But the mentors brought us back down to the earth and gave us strong, practical advice.
In the future, we plan to develop our idea, to come up with new, interesting hooks too promote our product”.
But the best is yet to come so don't miss out on the exciting presentations from all of the students’ projects. Keep checking back to to see the spark that will soon become the shinning stars of the IT world!
