“Students are divided into two types: the humanities and the ones whose IQ is more than 80”
On November 18-22 Zaporizhzhya National University played hosted intellectual and goal-oriented youth. The local stage of EBEC (European BEST Engineering Competition) took place under the watchful eye of Noosphere.
EBEC (European BEST Engineering Competition) are held among students of European technical institutions.
Competitions are held in several stages on an annual basis: local – at the level of one higher institution, national – at the level of one country, and regional – among neighboring countries. Winners of the local stages participate in the national/regional stages, and the winners of the national/regional stages attend the final stage of the European Engineering Competition.
It’s the six year running that the local stage of EBEC included the innovative and talented students from Zaporizhzhya. Winners of this stage will participate in the nationwide EBEC that will take part in Lvov which will determine 2 leading teams. Such leading teams will go on to the international competitions in Riga to represent the pride of Ukraine. Moreover, the 4 top teams of the final EBEC stage will automatically participate in engineering competitions to be held in Canada.
On the threshold of launching the Noosphere Engineering School it was very important for us to know the difficulties that the students of technical specialties encounter and how their interests develop. On November 21, 2012 32 participants were trying to tackle a task based on the real-life experience of one of Noosphere’s projects. Noosphere’s Top-Managers, who are the future mentors of the Noosphere Engineering School, evaluated the proposed solutions. Michael Ryabokon, COO of Noosphere, and Yuriy Letser, COO of Noosphere Nest, declared that the “XY” team was the winner for developing a very interesting and prospective business strategy for their given case.
Congratulations to the winners and welcome to the Noosphere Engineering School!
